Fire department deserves thanks

Last Monday night, February 1, I got a phone call at 11 p.m. that one of my rental homes was on fire. It only took me about 10 minutes to get into town, but by the time that I arrived at the home, the Steelville Fire Department, policeman and ambulance crew, along with one of the Crawford County Officers, were there and had already extinguished the fire and got everyone out safely.

I just want to say “Thank You” to all who were involved. You guys and gals did a super job. You deserve to be recognized and commended all the time, not just this time. We as citizens, take for granted what you all do for us sometimes. May God bless you all and may you all live long, happy, healthy lives.
